16. Performance Assessment of Cooperative Relay Networks with Advanced Radio Transmission Techniques
Sammanfattning : In the past decade, cooperative communications has been emerging as a pertinent technology for the current and upcoming generations of mobile communication infrastructure. The indispensable benefits of this technology have motivated numerous studies from both academia and industry on this area. LÄS MER
17. Multihop Wireless Networks with Advanced Antenna Systems : An Alternative for Rural Communication
Sammanfattning : Providing access to telecommunication services in rural areas is of paramount importance for the development of any country. Since the cost is the main inhibiting factor, any technical solution for access in sparsely populated rural areas has to be reliable, efficient, and deployable at low-cost. LÄS MER
18. Reconfigurable Analog to Digital Converters for Low Power Wireless Applications
Sammanfattning : The commercialization of Marconi’s radio transmission and reception, along with the development of integrated circuits in the 1960’s have facilitated many new consumer products for wireless communication, where the mobile phones or handsets are one. These handsets started out as a portable phone, mounted in cars, and have with time added additional services as Short Message Service, and have today become a media center with global positioning, and high-speed internet connection. 19. Multi-Gigabaud Millimeter-Wave Communication - Challenges and Solutions
Sammanfattning : A major challenge in future mobile networks is to overcome the capacity barrier in wireless communication. Utilizing large bandwidth at higher frequencies is key to enabling capacity upgrade for next generation mobile networks (5G). LÄS MER
20. Variation-Aware System Design Simulation Methodology for Capacitive BCC Transceivers
Sammanfattning : Capacitive body coupled communication (BCC), frequency range 500 kHz to 15 MHz, is considered an emerging alternate short range wireless technology which can meet the stringent low power consumption (< 1 mW) and low data rate (< 100 kbps) requirements for the next generation of connected devices for applications like internet-of-things (IoT) and wireless sensor network (WSN). But a reliable solution for this mode of communication covering all possible body positions and maximum communication distances around the human body could not be presented so far, despite its inception around 20 years back in 1995.
