  1. 1. Regulatory Factors that Reveal Three Distinct Adipocytes The Brown, the White and the Brite

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : The Wenner-Gren Institute, Stockholm University

    Författare :Tomas B. Waldén; Stockholms universitet.; [2010]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; adipocyte; UCP1; brite; brown; white; Hox Zic; miRNA; MEDICINE Physiology and pharmacology Physiology; MEDICIN Fysiologi och farmakologi Fysiologi; Physiology; fysiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Adipose tissues have long been considered to derive from a common origin. Even the functionally different brown and white adipose tissues were generalized to share a common origin. Brown adipose tissue is a highly innervated and vascularised tissue containing multilocular and multimitochondrial brown adipocytes. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Who is Who in the Adipose Organ A look at the Heterogeneity of Adipocyte Biology

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Department of Molecular Biosciences, The Wenner-Gren Institute, Stockholm University

    Författare :Jasper de Jong; Stockholms universitet.; [2017]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Adipose tissue; Adipocyte; Brown; White; Brite Beige; Physiology; fysiologi; Physiology;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing prevalence of obesity and related health complications, such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer, demands thorough investigation of the underlying processes. One of the key tissues investigated in this context is adipose tissue. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Ämnet som nästan blev : En studie av metodiken i lärarutbildningen 1842- 1988

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : HLS

    Författare :Åsa Morberg; Stockholms universitet.; [1999]
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Teaching practice; white papers; curricula for teacher traing; frame factor theory; techniques for teacher-pupil interaction; pedagogik; Education;

    Sammanfattning : The development of "teaching practice" (Sw: "metodik") in teacher training (compulsory school level, that is, primary and secondary junior high school or grades 1 to 9) from 1842 to 1988 is described. Based on a number of evaluations of teacher training the following questions are posed: Has an earlier central role for teaching practice in teacher training changed? Has teaching practice become marginalised in teaching training? The empirical sources for this thesis are white papers and curricula for teacher. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Whiteness and Fluorescence in Layered Paper and Board Perception and Optical Modelling

    Detta är en avhandling från Sundsvall : annat förlag

    Författare :Ludovic Gustafsson Coppel; Mittuniversitetet.; [2012]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Whiteness; Perception; Colour Appearance Modelling; Paper Optics; Light Scattering; Fluorescence; Lateral Light Scattering; White-Top Mottle; Kubelka-Munk; Radiative Transfer;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is about modelling and predicting the perceived whiteness of plain paper from the paper composition, including fluorescent whitening agents. This involves psychophysical modelling of perceived whiteness from measurable light reflectance properties, and physical modelling of light scattering and fluorescence from the paper composition.
