  1. 11. Pretreatment of cellulosic waste and high rate biogas production

    Författare :Solmaz Aslanzadeh; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Biogas; Two-stage anaerobic digestion; N-methylmorpholine N-oxide NMMO pretreatment; Lignocelluloses; Textile waste; Biofuels; Resursåtervinning; Resource Recovery;

    Sammanfattning : The application of anaerobic digestion technology is growing worldwide, mainly because of its environmental benefits. Nevertheless, anaerobic degradation is a rather slow and sensitive process. One of the reasons is the recalcitrance nature of certain fractions of the substrate (e.g. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Kretslopp av data : Miljö, befolkning, förvaltning och den tidiga digitaliseringens kulturtekniker

    Författare :Johan Fredrikzon; Staffan Bergwik; Thomas Götselius; Anders Ekström; Stockholms universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation explores the early digitalization in Sweden. As host to the first summit on the environment in Stockholm 1972 (UNCHE), as leading procurer of computer equipment as well as initiator to the world's first national Data Act of 1973, Sweden pioneered domains that have since emerged as critical to our age: environmental challenges and digital technology. 3. 13. Environmental Considerations in the Zero-waste Valorisation of Bauxite Residue : A Life Cycle Perspective

    Författare :Peter James Joyce; Anna Björklund; Hellweg Stefanie; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Life Cycle Assessment LCA ; bauxite residue; waste valorisation; Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials NORM ; Life Cycle Thinking; LCA software; Circular Economy; Livscykelanalys LCA ; bauxitrest; avfallsvalorisering; naturligt förekommande radioaktiva ämnen NORM ; livscykeltänkande; LCA-programvara; cirkulär ekonomi; Planering och beslutsanalys; Planning and Decision Analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Bauxite residue, also known as red mud, is produced in large quantities as a result of alumina refining (the first stage in aluminium production), and is one of the world’s most abundant and important industrial wastes. As demand for aluminium continues to increase and space to store this residue diminishes, the potential to utilise bauxite residue as a secondary resource is increasingly being considered by the alumina industry. 4. 14. Reprocessing historical tailings for possible remediation and recovery of critical metals and minerals : The Yxsjöberg case

    Författare :Jane Mwaba Mulenshi; Jan Rosenkranz; Saeed Chehreh Chelgani; Urs Peuker; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mining waste; Historical tailings; Conceptual framework; Critical raw materials; Tungsten; Scheelite; Characterization; Mineral liberation analysis; Beneficiation; Reprocessing; Mineral Processing; Mineralteknik; Centrumbildning - Centrum för avancerad gruvteknik och metallurgi CAMM ; Centre - Centre for Advanced Mining Metallurgy CAMM ;

    Sammanfattning : With increasing consumption of primary mineral resources, the generation of mining wastes has also increased thus requiring the mining industry to address the growing environmental concerns. Waste rock and tailings are potential secondary sources of critical raw materials currently in short supply in the European Union, but also a source for environmental issues like acid mine drainage. 5. 15. Sustainable Aluminum and Iron Production

    Författare :Reza Beheshti; Emma Strömberg; Jafar Safarian; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Sustainability; Optimization; Black Dross; Salt removal; Steel flux agent; Waste processing; Greenhouse gases; Direct reduction; COMSOL Multiphysics®; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Aluminium recycling requires 95% less energy than primary production with no loss of quality. The Black Dross (BD) produced during secondary aluminium production contains high amounts of water-soluble compounds, therefore it is considered as a toxic waste. LÄS MER
