    Sammanfattning : This thesis is a collection of techniques used for 3D reconstruction; the creation of 3D models from real world objects or scenes. Given the increase in accuracy, robustness and speed of modern methods and algorithms, new and exciting applications of this technology is constantly appearing. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Modeling and optimization of least-cost corridors

    Författare :Lindsi Seegmiller; Takeshi Shirabe; Kai-Florian Richter; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; raster data modeling; raster-based geographic information systems; route planning; optimal routing; corridor; wide path; corridor width; distortion; three-dimensional grid; rasterdatamodellering; rasterbaserade geografiska informationssystem; ruttplanering; optimal dirigering; korridor; bred väg; korridorbredd; distorsion; tredimensionellt rutnät; Geoinformatics; Geoinformatik;

    Sammanfattning : Given a grid of cells, each having a value indicating its cost per unit area, a variant of the least-cost path problem is to find a corridor of a specified width connecting two termini such that its cost-weighted area is minimized. A computationally efficient method exists for finding such corridors, but as is the case with conventional raster-based least-cost paths, their incremental orientations are limited to a fixed number of (typically eight orthogonal and diagonal) directions, and therefore, regardless of the grid resolution, they tend to deviate from those conceivable on the Euclidean plane. 4. 4. Exploiting Coherence in Voxelized Geometry

    Författare :Viktor Kämpe; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; time-varying; directed acyclic graph; geometry; voxel; octree;

    Sammanfattning : In computer graphics, the geometry of virtual worlds can be represented in numerousways, from collections of simple triangles or voxels to higher-order primitives likecurved surfaces. There is a trade-off, both in terms of memory consumption and processingtime, between the cost of an individual primitive and the number of primitivesrequired to faithfully represent the world. 5. 5. Development, validation and application of advanced neuroimaging analysis tools for in vivo neuroreceptor studies

    Författare :Zsolt Cselényi; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :PET; neuroreceptor; multi-receptor analysis; kinetic analysis; parametric imaging; wavelet filtering; artificial neural network; unsupervised cluster analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Positron emission tomography (PET) is an imaging technology, which can be used to study neuroreceptors in the human brain in vivo. The technique estimates the regional binding of radiolabelled ligands to neuroreceptors and the data are commonly displayed as images showing the distribution of radioactivity in the brain volume.
