    Sammanfattning : This large-scale research project represents an exploratory investigation into the reported vocabulary learning strategies (VLS) used by adult, beginner Swedish L2 learners living and studying in Sweden. A questionnaire instrument, the Swedish Vocabulary Learning Strategy Survey (SVLSS) built explicitly for data collection in this context is developed and used over the course of five studies regarding learners’ approaches to Swedish L2 vocabulary learning.     Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this study is to observe the L2 acquisition effect of studying abroad during approximately four months in Swedish non-native speakers (NNSs) of Spanish with respect to their use of multi-word structures (MWSs) as compared to native speakers (NSs).     Sammanfattning : In this research project the question is raised whether it is possible to detect and analyse differences between incidental and intentional vocabulary acquisition within a traditional, systematic teaching setting of German as an L3.     Sammanfattning : Based on the hypothesis that the frame to which a verb is linked influences how easily that verb can be extended into the mental domain, the aim of this thesis is to carry out a lexico-semantic analysis of the six verbs acquire, buy, gather, grasp, receive and seize. These verbs were chosen because they can express physical as well as mental acquisition and because they are linked to frames of varying complexity. LÄS MER
