41. Novel biomarkers in regulating human dense connective tissue repair
Sammanfattning : Painful and degenerative disorders of the musculoskeletal system pose a tremendous burden on the healthcare system. One main reason is the limited knowledge of the underlying key factors and pathways responsible for the suboptimal and often varying healing outcomes of dense connective tissues (CTs), such as tendons, ligaments and knee meniscus, which have vital supportive, protective and force transmitting roles in the human body. 44. Investigation of Exocytosis for a New Paradigm of Plasticity in Biological Systems Using Electrochemistry and Mass Spectrometry Imaging
Sammanfattning : Cellular communication is a vital process and serves as the basis for complex brain functions in multicellular organisms. The majority of cellular communication is achieved via the release of specific signaling molecules, transmitters and modulators, via a process termed exocytosis. LÄS MER
45. On the Interrelation Between Kraft Cooking Conditions and Pulp Composition
Sammanfattning : In the early 1990’s, a lot of work was focused on extending the kraft cook to a low lignin content (low kappa number). The driving force was the need to further reduce the environmental impact of the bleaching, as less delignification work would be needed there. LÄS MER
