  1. 16. Computer Vision Based Analysis of Animal Behavior

    Författare :Tobias Palmér; Mathematical Imaging Group; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Datorseende; bildanalys; djurbeteende; neurofysiologi; tillämpningar; refraktion; Computer vision; animal tracking; behavioral analysis; refractions; underwater images; relative pose;

    Sammanfattning : The behavior of animals is commonly studied in medicine and biology. There is a large variation in what animals are studied, in experimental paradigms and purpose.However, many studies on animal behavior have at least one thing in common - it typically involves measuring or studying the kinematics of the animal. 2. 17. Essays on economic behavior, focusing and auctions

    Författare :Jim Ingebretsen Carlson; Nationalekonomiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Attention; focusing; experiments; auctions; shill bidding; approximated preferences; partnership formation;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis contributes to research on experimental and behavioral economics as well as auction theory. It consists of five papers.The first paper, Differences Attract: An Experimental Study of Focusing in Economic Choice, studies whether individuals' decisions are affected by focus effects. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : "Men born in 1914" is a prospective cohort study on the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease. The study is run by the Department of Community Medicine, Lund University, Malmö. Five hundred men participated in the study when it started with a baseline examination in 1982/83. The men were then 68 years old. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Application of Virtual Reality in the study of Human Behavior in Fire : Pursuing realistic behavior in evacuation experiments

    Författare :Silvia Arias; Avdelningen för Brandteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Virtual Reality; behavioral realism; fire evacuation; VR experiments;

    Sammanfattning : Virtual Reality (VR) experiments are used to study human behavior in fire because they allow simulation of fire events with relatively low risks to the participants, while maintaining high levels of experimental control. Manystudies have used VR experiments to explore aspects of the human response to fire threats, but VR experiments as a research method are yet to be subjected to a systematic process of validation. 5. 20. Driving in Virtual Reality : Investigations in Effects of Latency and Level of Virtuality

    Författare :Björn Blissing; Johan Ölvander; Fredrik Bruzelius; Henrik Engström; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Virtual Reality; Augmented Reality; Mixed Reality; Latency; Driver Behavior; Active Safety Testing;

    Sammanfattning : When developing new active safety systems or improving existing systems, conducting performance evaluations is necessary. By performing these evaluations during early development stages, potential problems can be identified and mitigated before the system moves into the production phase. LÄS MER
