  1. 21. Reinforcement Learning for Active Visual Perception

    Författare :Aleksis Pirinen; Mathematical Imaging Group; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; computer vision; reinforcement learning; deep learning; active vision; object detection; human pose estimation; semantic segmentation;

    Sammanfattning : Visual perception refers to automatically recognizing, detecting, or otherwise sensing the content of an image, video or scene. The most common contemporary approach to tackle a visual perception task is by training a deep neural network on a pre-existing dataset which provides examples of task success and failure, respectively. 2. 22. Holistic Grasping: Affordances, Grasp Semantics, Task Constraints

    Författare :Martin Hjelm; Danica Kragic; Markus Vincze; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; robotics; robotic grasping; grasping; cognition; embodied cognition; computer vision; machine learning; artificial intelligence; AI; Gaussian process; Gaussian process latent variable model; GPLVM; 3D vision; point cloud features; robotik; manipulation; datorseende; maskininlärning; artificiell intelligens; kognition; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : Most of us perform grasping actions over a thousand times per day without giving it much consideration, be it from driving to drinking coffee. Learning robots the same ease when it comes to grasping has been a goal for the robotics research community for decades. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Transverse Chromatic Aberration and Vision: Quantification and Impact across the Visual Field

    Författare :Simon Winter; Linda Lundström; Stephen Burns; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; transverse chromatic aberration; lateral chromatic aberration; visual optics; peripheral vision; central vision; dispersion; ophthalmic optics and devices; optical effects on vision; retinal imaging; myopia; human eye; Fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : The eye is our window to the world. Human vision has therefore been extensively studied over the years. However, in-depth studies are often either limited to our central visual field, or, when extended to the periphery, only correct optical errors related to a narrow spectrum of light. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Implementing a Vision : Studying Leaders’ Strategic Use of an Intranet while Exploring Ethnography within HCI

    Författare :Anette Löfström; Mats Edenius; Sara Eriksén; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; HCI; Ethnography; Culture; Organisation; Intranet; Sensemaking; Trust; MDI; Etnografi; Kultur; Organisation; Intranät; Meningsskapande; tillit; Datavetenskap med inriktning mot människa-datorinteraktion; Computer Science with specialization in Human-Computer Interaction;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates an Intranet based leadership strategy. The aims are to follow, describe and analyse an Intranet based leadership strategy through a broad, dynamic and cultural perspective, and to carry out an ethnography-based research process and thereby explore the potential uses of ethnography within human-computer interaction (HCI). 5. 25. Vision in sight : the relationships between knowledge, health beliefs and treatment outcomes : the case of amblyopia

    Författare :Anne Göransson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Amblyopia; Compliance; Conceptions; Health beliefs; Phenomenographic analysis;

    Sammanfattning : The research reported is an experimental study on the effects of intensified education of parents of children with amblyopia on their understanding of the nature of the disease, its origins and treatment. Parents in the control group were exposed to the ordinary information provided at two departments of pediatric ophtalmology, whereas parents in the experimental group, attending the same clinics, were asked to read a booklet aiming at enhancing their understanding of the meaning of amblyopia and amblyopia-related phenomena.
