21. On stability and receptivity of boundary-layer flows
Sammanfattning : This work is concerned with stability and receptivity analysis as well as studies on control of the laminar-turbulent transition in boundary-layer flows through direct numerical simulations. Various flow configurations are considered to address flow around straight and swept wings. LÄS MER
22. Vibro-acoustic modelling of anisotropic poroelastic materials : characterisation of the anisotropic properties
Sammanfattning : The present-day challenges in the transport industry, steered by the increasing environmental awareness, necessitate manufacturers to take measures to reduce emissions related to the movements of goods and humans. In particular, the measures aiming at a reduced mass or higher load capacity to increase fuel efficiency, generally deteriorate the noise and vibration insulation properties of their products. 23. Wheel Modelling and Cooling Flow Effects on Car Aerodynamics
Sammanfattning : In recent years, the automotive industry has focused on computer simulations as an alternative to physical testing. This allows for early vehicle optimization, short turn around times, and significant cost savings. LÄS MER
24. Evaluation and modeling of the flow in a slotted wall wind tunnel
Sammanfattning : As vehicle manufacturers strive to shorten the development time of new models, an increasing share of the aerodynamic development work is shifted from wind tunnel testing of prototype vehicles to numerical simulations of virtual models. However, comparing measurements from the wind tunnel with numerical simulation data is not straightforward due to several interference effects occurring between the wind tunnel and the tested vehicle. 25. Applications of the Complex Modulation Transfer Function on SEA-systems
Sammanfattning : The SEA coupling and dissipation loss factors are determined in-situ from Complex Modulation Transfer Functions, CMTF:s, based on measured impulse-responses. A quotient of CMTF:s is least-square curve-fitted to a SEA model and the SEA loss factors are determined from the results of the curve-fit. LÄS MER
