11. "Om man inte vill spela – då blir det jättesvårt" : en studie av en grupp förskolebarns musikaliska lärande i fiolspel
Sammanfattning : This dissertation project involved following a group of six pre-school children (five years old) in the first year of their learning the violin together and where their parents were present at the lessons. The purpose of the study was to generate a theory which could increase our understanding of how small children learn an instrument where their parents are present at the lessons. LÄS MER
12. Spindle vibration and sound field measurement using optical vibrometry
Sammanfattning : Mechanical systems often produce a considerable amount of vibration and noise. To be able to obtain a complete picture of the dynamic behaviour of these systems, vibration and sound measurements are of significant importance. Optical metrology is well-suited for non-intrusive measurements on complex objects. LÄS MER
13. Musikalisk kunskapsutveckling i högre musikutbildning : en kulturpsykologisk studie av musikerstudenters förhållningssätt i enskild instrumentalundervisning
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to obtain a deeper understanding of students’ approaches to musical knowledge as it is distributed through one-to-one tuition in higher music education (HME). With a cultural-psychological perspective according to Bruner, the project was designed as a longitudinal, qualitative study of eight students in the performance program that concludes with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. 14. TV holography and shearography in experimental mechanics
Sammanfattning : TV holography is an optical non-contacting whole field technique to measure deformation. Names as ESPI or Electronic speckle pattern interferometry, Electro-optic holography and Electronic holography are commonly used for this real-time video based interferometric technique. Shearography has become an important tool in non destructive testing. LÄS MER
15. Sparse Modeling Heuristics for Parameter Estimation - Applications in Statistical Signal Processing
Sammanfattning : This thesis examines sparse statistical modeling on a range of applications in audio modeling, audio localizations, DNA sequencing, and spectroscopy. In the examined cases, the resulting estimation problems are computationally cumbersome, both as one often suffers from a lack of model order knowledge for this form of problems, but also due to the high dimensionality of the parameter spaces, which typically also yield optimization problems with numerous local minima.
