1. Uncertainty Estimation in Models of Multivariate Trait Evolution on Given Phylogenies
Sammanfattning : Phylogenetic comparative methods are a set of statistical methods that model the evolutionary history of species, especially in the context where one has data on certain traits of related extant species that have evolved over a phylogenetic tree in accordance to an underlying stochastic process. This thesis presents a Hessian-based closed-form asymptotic confidence region that covers a wide family of Gaussian continuous-trait evolution models; the result has been implemented in an R package. 2. Constrained Optimization for Prediction of Posture
Sammanfattning : The ability to stand still in one place is important in a variety of activities of daily living. For persons with motion disorders, orthopaedic treatment, which changes geometric or biomechanical properties, can improve the individual'sposture and walking ability. LÄS MER
3. Query Processing over Heterogeneous Federations of Graph Data
Sammanfattning : Graph data offers a natural and intuitive way to represent complex relationships in various real-world phenomena, such as social networks, e-commerce platforms, and biological networks. The way we interact with information, technology and even society has been changed by graph data, especially after Google started in 2012 to develop the so-called Knowledge Graph. LÄS MER
4. Metastable orthorhombic Ta3N5 thin films grown by magnetron sputter epitaxy
Sammanfattning : The semiconductor tritantalum pentanitride (Ta3N5) is a promising green-energy material for photoelectrolyzing water to produce oxygen and hydrogen owing to its proper bandgap of 2.0 ± 0.2 eV and band positions to redox potential of water. LÄS MER
5. Controlled growth of metastable Ta3N5 semiconducting films
Sammanfattning : The semiconductor tritantalum pentanitride (Ta3N5) is a promising material for green energy applications, specifically in the photoelectrolysis of water to produce oxygen and hydrogen. With a bandgap of approximately 2 eV, Ta3N5 is well-suited for efficient solar light absorption across a broad spectrum, and its band positions align favorably with the redox potential of water.
