  1. 1. Suspension design for off-road construction machines

    Författare :Adam Rehnberg; Lars Drugge; Annika Stensson Trigell; David Crolla; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; construction machine; engineering vehicle; earth mover; wheel loader; vehicle dynamics; vehicle engineering; whole body vibrations; off-road vehicle; anläggningsmaskin; entreprenadmaskin; hjullastare; fordonsdynamik; fordonsteknik; helkroppsvibrationer; terrängfordon; Vehicle engineering; Farkostteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Construction machines, also referred to as engineering vehicles or earth movers, are used in a variety of tasks related to infrastructure development and material handling. While modern construction machines represent a high level of sophistication in several areas, their suspension systems are generally rudimentary or even nonexistent. LÄS MER

  2. 2. On Derailment-Worthiness in Rail Vehicle Design : Analysis of vehicle features influencing derailment processes and consequences

    Författare :Dan Brabie; Evert Andersson; Roderick A Smith; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; derailment; bogie design; wheel-sleeper impact; simulation; deviation; vehicle inter-connection; guidance mechanism; substitute guidance; articulated train; railway safety; Vehicle engineering; Farkostteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims at systematically studying the possibilities of minimizing devastating consequences of high-speed rail vehicle derailments by appropriate measures and features in the train design including the running gear. Firstly, an empirical database is established containing as much relevant information as possible of past incidents and accidents that have occurred at substantial running speeds due to mechanical failure close to the interface between the running gear and the track. 3. 3. Onboard condition monitoring of vehicle-track dynamic interaction using machine learning : Enabling the railway industry’s digital transformation

    Författare :Rohan Kulkarni; Mats Berg; Ulf Carlsson; Alireza Qazizadeh; Sebastian Stichel; Jordi Viñolas; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Active preventive maintenance; intelligent fault diagnosis; anomaly detection; vehicle fleet; track irregularities; vehicle hunting; wheel-rail interface.; Farkostteknik; Vehicle and Maritime Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The railway sector’s reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) can significantly improve by adopting condition based maintenance (CBM). In the CBM regime, maintenance decisions are driven by condition monitoring (CM) of the asset. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Vehicle Dynamics Control for Active Safety Functions using Electrified Drivelines

    Författare :Adithya Arikere; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; driver assistance systems; intersection accidents; torque vectoring; optimal control; rear- end collisions; speed control; active safety; vehicle dynamics; electrified drivetrain; obstacle avoidance with oncoming traffic;

    Sammanfattning : Studies have shown that even considering pledges and commitments made by various governments and organisations, the growth in electrified vehicle sales is likely to be insufficient to reduce CO2 emissions for mitigating global warming. Some form of added incentive is needed that can help drive electrified vehicle sales in the open market. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Vehicle Dynamic Opportunities in Electrified Vehicles for Active Safety Interventions

    Författare :Adithya Arikere; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; rear-end collisions; active safety; vehicle dynamics; obstacle avoidance with oncoming traffic; speed control; electrified drivetrain; torque vectoring; driver assistance systems;

    Sammanfattning : Although the sales of electrified vehicles is growing, studies indicatethat the growth is inadequate to sufficiently reduce CO2 emissions andmitigate global warming. Some form of added incentive is needed to driveelectrified vehicle sales. LÄS MER
