  1. 1. Vehicle Services

    Författare :Jonas Kuschel; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :vehicle services; information infrastructure; open innovation; prototyping; field studies;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis contributes to our understanding of the development and diffusion of vehicle services, and to how information technology interacts with forms of organization and business models to undermine or support the development of vehicle services. The overall research question asked in the thesis is: what are the technical, business and organizational prerequisites for the development and diffusion of a rich variety of vehicle services? The development and diffusion of vehicle services have been empirically investigated by ethnographic field studies, prototype software development and case studies as part of a collaborative practice research approach involving the Volvo Group. 2. 2. A DATA-DRIVEN APPROACH TO SUPPORTING USERS’ ADAPTATION TO SMART IN-VEHICLE SYSTEMS

    Författare :Julia Orlovska; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; driver behavior assessment; data-driven design; vehicle data; real-time driver support; Driver Coach approach; ADAS;

    Sammanfattning : The utilization of data to understand user behavior and support user needs began to develop in areas such as internet services, smartphone apps development, and the gaming industry. This bloom of data-driven services and applications forced OEMs to consider possible solutions for better in-vehicle connectivity. LÄS MER

  3. 3. On the ECO2 multifunctional design paradigm and tools for acoustic tailoring

    Författare :Juan Pablo Parra Martinez; Peter Göransson; Olivier Dazel; Jacques Cuenca; Per Wennhage; Franck Sgard; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; vehicle design; planned obsolescence; anisotropy; porous materials; sound absorbing materials; acoustic modelling; power balance; energy assessment; dissipated power.; Farkostteknik; Vehicle and Maritime Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Nowadays vehicle design paradigm influences not only the effectiveness of the different means of transport, but also the environment and economy in a critical way. The assessment of the consequences that design choices have on society at large are necessary to understand the limits of the methods and techniques currently employed. LÄS MER

  4. 4. A Framework for Fatigue Analysis of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Structures

    Författare :Sara Eliasson; Zuheir Barsoum; Per Wennhage; Kim Branner; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Heavy-duty vehicles; Fatigue; Carbon fiber reinforced polymer; Multi-scale modeling; Probabilistic modeling; Tunga fordon; Utmattning; Kolfiberkomposit; Probabilistisk modellering; Farkostteknik; Vehicle and Maritime Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Our society depends on functional road communication, and Heavy Duty Vehicles (HDVs) offer convenient and limitless possibilities of transport and services. However, HDVs account for a quarter of the European Union's CO2 road emissions. There is a substantial need to reduce the CO2 emissions of HDVs to ensure a low negative environmental impact. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Tilting trains : Technology, benefits and motion sickness

    Författare :Rickard Persson; Evert Andersson; Karl Kottenhoff; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; tilting trains; motion sickness; ride comfort; running time; track geometry; Vehicle engineering; Farkostteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Carbody tilting is today a mature and inexpensive technology allowing higher speeds in curves and thus reduced travel time. The technology is accepted by most train operators, but a limited set of issues still holding back the full potential of tilting trains. LÄS MER
