    Sammanfattning : Poor tumour oxygenation, namely hypoxia, is one of the major challenges that has been recognised in radiotherapy, yet it is not being accounted for in standard treatments. Hypoxia, resulting from a heterogeneous distribution of vessels (chronic hypoxia) or of a loss in vascular perfusion (acute hypoxia), affects all kinds of solid tumours to different extents. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Background: Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a rare condition characterized by endothelial dysfunction and vascular remodelling, leading to increased pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) and right ventricular heart failure. Endothelial dysfunction is associated with an imbalance between vasoconstrictor compounds, such as endothelin and thromboxane A2, and vasodilator compounds, such as prostacyclin and nitric oxide (NO).
