16. Cubical Intepretations of Type Theory
Sammanfattning : The interpretation of types in intensional Martin-Löf type theory as spaces and their equalities as paths leads to a surprising new view on the identity type: not only are higher-dimensional equalities explained as homotopies, this view also is compatible with Voevodsky's univalence axiom which explains equality for type-theoretic universes as homotopy equivalences, and formally allows to identify isomorphic structures, a principle often informally used despite its incompatibility with set theory. While this interpretation in homotopy theory as well as the univalence axiom can be justified using a model of type theory in Kan simplicial sets, this model can, however, not be used to explain univalence computationally due to its inherent use of classical logic. Sammanfattning : The aim of this study was to generate knowledge about how teachers embark on new subject content and how their understandings of ecosystem services evolve and change in teaching practice, and also what it means to be able to discuss the relationship between the ecological and social in terms of ecosystem services in a teaching practice in middle school.The teachers used the learning study model and variation theory to explore the object of learning, by trying to design an instruction that offers fifth grade students the possibility to develop their knowledge of ecosystem services. Sammanfattning : Teachers struggle to design teaching that that will promote students’ social science knowledge in accordance with the citizenship education purpose of the subject. This study aims to expand the knowledge base of social science education by exploring the meaning of, and teaching for, the ability to critically analyse essentially contested value issues, specifically fairness and justice issues, in social science.
