  1. 6. In-vehicle speed adaptation - On the effectiveness of a voluntary system

    Författare :Magnus Hjälmdahl; Trafik och väg; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Road transport technology; Vägtransportteknik; Traffic safety; In-car observations; Long-term effects; Speed; Driver behaviour; ISA; Active Accelerator Pedal;

    Sammanfattning : The overarching aim of this thesis is to study the long term effects of a voluntary speed adaptation system, the Active Accelerator Pedal (AAP), and its effectiveness for different driver types. The papers making up this thesis are based on a study carried out on 284 vehicles and drivers in the Swedish city of Lund from 1999 until 2002. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Identification and promotion of attitudes related to pro-environmental travel behaviour

    Författare :Maria Johansson; Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; pollution control; Environmental technology; travel behaviour; traffic restrictions; pro-environmental attitudes; politicians; computerised gaming simulation environmental knowledge; civil servants; children; adolescents; adults; Miljöteknik; kontroll av utsläpp; Road transport technology; Vägtransportteknik; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : A reduction of the negative environmental impact caused by urban traffic will to a considerable extent depend on behavioural change. Assuming that attitudes partly guide behaviour, the general aim of the thesis was to increase the understanding of the underlying attitudes of daily travel behaviour and how attitudes related to pro-environmental choice of transport can be promoted. 3. 8. Predictive models for accidents on urban links - A focus on vulnerable road users

    Författare :Thomas Jonsson; Trafik och väg; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Road transport technology; Transportteknik; Transport technology; Teknik; Technological sciences; Stads- och glesbygdsplanering; Town and country planning; speed; links; urban; safety; vulnerable road users; modelling; prediction; crash; traffic safety; accident; Vägtransportteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Much of earlier work on predictive models for accidents has been focused on rural traffic or urban intersections. This work has aimed at identifying and investigating possible improvements to predictive models for accidents on urban links. A special focus has been on the accidents of vulnerable road users. 4. 9. Modelling and evaluation of the effects of traffic safety measures Comparative analysis of driving assistance systems and road infrastructure

    Författare :Meng Lu; Trafik och väg; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Vägtransportteknik; GRA; Road transport technology; grey relational analysis; driving assistance systems; traffic safety principle; quantitative causal chain; comparative analysis; QCC model; road infrastructure; road traffic safety;

    Sammanfattning : Improvement of road traffic safety is an important policy issue. Various categories of meas-ures are available to effectuate this. The thesis focuses on two categories: road infrastructure and driv-ing assistance systems. LÄS MER
