  1. 16. Thermal response tests : influence of convective flow in groundwater filled borehole heat exchanger

    Författare :Anna-Maria Gustafsson; Jeffrey D. Spitler; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Vattenteknik; Water Resources Engineering; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The main objective of this doctorial thesis was to investigate how thermally induced movements in the groundwater (natural convective flow) may influence the heat transport in borehole and surrounding bedrock in a groundwater filled borehole heat exchanger system. The purpose was also to determine if thermal response tests could be used to detect the convective influence and the effect on evaluated heat transfer parameters, effective bedrock thermal conductivity and borehole thermal resistance. 2. 17. Polyester scaffold: Material design and cell-protein-material interaction

    Författare :Staffan Dånmark; Anna Finne-Wistrand; Ann-Christine Albertsson; Kamal Mustafa; Pentti Tengvall; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Tissue engineering has emerged as a valid approach for the regeneration and restoration of bone defects. The concept of bone tissue engineering includes degradable scaffolds, osteogenic cells and osteoinductive growth factors either alone or in any combination of these three. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Event Detection in Eye-Tracking Data for Use in Applications with Dynamic Stimuli

    Författare :Linnéa Larsson; Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis has signal processing of eye-tracking data as its main theme. An eye-tracker is a tool used for estimation of the point where one is looking. Automatic algorithms for classification of different types of eye movements, so called events, form the basis for relating the eye-tracking data to cognitive processes during, e.g. LÄS MER
