  1. 1. Skogsträdgårdsvistelser ur barns perspektiv – Speglat under samtalspromenader

    Författare :Maria Hammarsten; Åsa Hirsh; Per Andersson; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Forest Garden; Social Studies of Childhood; Children’s Perspectives; Walk-and-Talk Conversations; Ecological Literacy; Affordances; Plant Blindness;

    Sammanfattning : The licentiate thesis examines what spending time in a forest garden can offer children when this environment is used for teaching aimed at sustainability. What do the children remember from their visits to the forest garden? What do they find special or memorable? What can the children learn there? To answer such questions, walk-and-talk conversations were conducted with children who for a three-year period had regularly visited a forest garden during school hours. LÄS MER

  2. 2. In-plane mechanical properties of acetylated birch plywood and its response to humidity elevation

    Författare :Yue Wang; Magnus Wålinder; Roberto Crocetti; Marie Johansson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Birch plywood; wood modification; acetylation; in-plane mechanical properties; load-to-face grain angle; moisture effect; Björkplywood; trämodifiering; acetylering; mekaniska egenskaper i planet; belastningsriktning; klimategenskaper; Building Materials; Byggnadsmaterial;

    Sammanfattning : Due to the recent flourish of modern timber structures, there is an increasing demand for engineered wood products (EWPs). However, outdoor exposure of EWPs often poses a risk of durability-related issues. LÄS MER

    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Injuries are a common public health problem. Non-fatal injuries may result in pain and disabilities. Falls are a common causes of non-fatal injuries and many of these injuries occur during some physical activity. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Multiple Antenna Terminals in Realistic Environments - A Composite Channel Modeling Approach

    Författare :Fredrik Harrysson; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Channel model; MIMO; multiple antennas terminal; propagation; user interaction; vehicular channel; diversity; spatial multiplexing; channel measurement;

    Sammanfattning : For evaluation of specific antenna arrangements in wireless communication systems we need physical channel models that take into account also the directional domain of the propagation channel. In this thesis we investigate, validate and propose a practical approach to wireless channel modeling and, particularly, to mobile communication systems. LÄS MER
