    Sammanfattning : Vår tids yrkesutbildning har sin grund i den förändrade utbildningssituation som uppstod i och med skråväsendets upphörande. En utredning kom 1912 med förslag som ledde till utbildningsreformer 1918, 1921 och 1941 vilka bland annat innebar att yrkesskolor inrättades och tekniska elementarskolor omorganiserades till tekniska fackskolor.
