16. Plant Phosphoinositide Kinases. A Study of PtdIns 4-kinases and a PtdIns 4-phosphate 5-kinase
Sammanfattning : Phosphoinositides are of particular interest in signal transduction processes as they can be sequentially phosphorylated and used as precursors for the intracellular messengers inositol trisphosphate (InsP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG) that in turn affects calcium levels and protein kinase cascades, eventually leading to a physiological response. The activity and regulation of PtdIns 4-kinases and PtdInsP kinase was studied. LÄS MER
17. Introductory Approach to Business Model Design for Strategic Sustainable Development
Sammanfattning : The interrelated challenges of systematic degradation of ecosystems, social inequalities, financial instability and resource constraints are redefining the overall conditions for business in the twenty-first century. Addressing these challenges both demands and brings great opportunity for innovation. LÄS MER
18. Evaluation of a client-centred ADL intervention after stroke : perspectives of occupational therapists, clients with stroke and significant others
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis is to build knowledge of a new client-centred activities of daily living (ADL) intervention (CADL), which takes the unique experiences of persons with stroke as the point of departure, and aims to enable agency in daily activities and participation in everyday life among persons with stroke. The focus of this thesis is an evaluation of CADL after stroke, from the perspectives of occupational therapists (OT), clients with stroke and their significant others. LÄS MER
19. Development of mathematical modelling for the glycosylation of IgG in CHO cell cultures
Sammanfattning : Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells are the most popular expression system for the production of biopharmaceuticals. More than 80% of the approved monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) or immunoglobulin G (IgG) are produced with these cells. Glycosylation is a usual post- translational modification important for therapeutic mAbs. LÄS MER
20. Self-management of Persistent Neck Pain : A Multi-component Group Intervention in Primary Health Care
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to evaluate effects of a multi-component pain and stress self-management group intervention (PASS) and to explore plausible predictors associated with short-term and long-term treatment effects among patients with persistent tension-type neck pain in primary health care (PHC). Study I was a pilot study in order to explore feasibility of the study design and methods. LÄS MER
