21. Interactive antiproliferative mechanisms when 5-fluorouracil is combined with cisplatin or ionizing radiation : an in vivo and in vitro experimental study
Sammanfattning : Results from clinical studies and experimental investigations have given evidence of a synergistic effect when 5- fluorouracil (5-FU) has been combined with radiation or cisplatin (CDDP). From earlier experiments performed by the research team we know, that addition of S-FU to CDDP can synergistically increase the antiproliferative effect. LÄS MER
22. Path Inference of Sparse GPS Probes for Urban Networks : Methods and Applications
Sammanfattning : The application of GPS probes in traffic management is growing rapidly as the required data collection infrastructure is increasingly in place in urban areas with significant number of mobile sensors moving around covering expansive areas of the road network. Most travelers carry with them at least one device with a built-in GPS receiver. LÄS MER
23. Bus rapid transit (BRT) and transitoriented development (TOD) : How to transform and adjust the Swedish cities for attractive bus systems like BRT? What demands BRT?
Sammanfattning : Bus rapid transit (BRT) is an innovative bus system with sophisticated vehicles and inflexible busways integrated in the cities, high capacity and high quality, high speed and frequency, distinctive image and comfort. Many in Sweden believe that is impossible to introduce BRT, even though the Swedish towns and cities can benefit from the image, speed and frequency that BRT symbolizes. LÄS MER
24. Congestion Charging in Urban Networks : Modelling Issues and Simulated Effects
Sammanfattning : One of the major challenges cities face today, in their development towards sustainable urban areas, is the need for an efficient and environmentally friendly transport system. This transport system should manage to tie together the city without strong adverse impact on urban environment, air-quality and climate change. LÄS MER
25. Networks of urban interaction - Growth and centrality in the complex geography of urban activity
Sammanfattning : How cities and regions grow and decline depend on technological, social and economic factors. Understanding the interplay of these forces is central in research efforts aiming to improve urban and transport planning. LÄS MER
