1. Det svenska väldet : Ett konglomerat av uttrycksformer och begrepp från Vasa till Bernadotte
Sammanfattning : During the so-called early modern time, i.e. from 1500 to 1800, Sweden as well as other European states went through fundamental changes. The central power increased its influence and control over society and its people. LÄS MER
2. The type I and CCR properties for groupoids and inverse semigroups
Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis consists of one paper about unitary representationtheory of ample groupoids and semigroups together with generalizationsto étale and non-Hausdorff groupoids. In the paper we study algebraically the type I and CCR properties forample Hausdorff groupoids. LÄS MER
3. Physics from Wholeness : Dynamical Totality as a Conceptual Foundation for Physical Theories
Sammanfattning : Motivated by reductionism's current inability to encompass the quantum theory we explore an indivisible and dynamical wholeness as an underlying foundation for physics. After reviewing the role of wholeness in the quantum theory we set a philosophical background aiming at introducing an ontology, based on a dynamical wholeness. LÄS MER
4. Photonic quantum information and experimental tests of foundations of quantum mechanics
Sammanfattning : Entanglement is a key resource in many quantum information schemes and in the last years the research on multi-qubit entanglement has drawn lots of attention. In this thesis the experimental generation and characterisation of multi-qubit entanglement is presented. Specifically we have prepared entangled states of up to six qubits. LÄS MER
5. Både finsk och svensk : modernisering, nationalism och språkförändring i Tornedalen 1850-1939
Sammanfattning : This study deals with the impact by modernisation and nationalism on the ethnicity and national identity among the Finnish speaking minority in the Torne Valley in the north of Sweden. The starting point is 1809 when Sweden lost the Finnish part of the kingdom to Russia. LÄS MER
