21. Attenuation of hand-held machine vibrations. Application of non-linear tuned vibration absorber
Sammanfattning : Vibration injury in the hand-arm system from vibrating hand-held machines is one of the most common occupational health injuries and causes severe and often chronic nerve and vascular injuries to the operator. The objective with this study is to contribute to reduce hand-arm vibration injuries, first by developing methods of redesigning machines that will lower their vibration level and second to study how high frequency vibrations (HFV) above 1250 Hz effect the finger tissue which are not included in the current standard for risk evaluation. 22. On the dynamics of an hydropower generator subjected to unbalanced magnetic pull : characterisation and analysis
Sammanfattning : Eccentricity leading to unbalanced magnetic pull (UMP) in rotating electrical machines is a significant concern in industry. The UMP arises due to magnetic flux crossing the air-gap between the rotor and stator, and can be more intense than the useful peripheral force that the machine develops. LÄS MER
23. On the supraharmonics in single-phase and three-phase installations
Sammanfattning : Society has increasingly started depending on the continuity of internet services, the interruption can be crucial for vital societal functions. It is therefore important to maintain continuous and reliable operations of e.g., installations housing sensitive IT (Information Technology) loads. LÄS MER
24. Preimplantation genetic diagnosis : evaluation of results and experiences
Sammanfattning : Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) is an established alternative for couples at high risk of having an affected child, with the advantage that the genetic testing is performed at the embryo stage and the couple can thereby avoid a pregnancy termination of an affected foetus. The disadvantage is that an IVF treatment is required, which can be a stressful experience. LÄS MER
