  1. 1. Hygroelastic behaviour of wood-fibre based materials on the composite, fibre and ultrastructural level

    Författare :Razvan Cristian Neagu; Kristofer Gamstedt; Staffan Toll; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :wood fibres; ultrastructure; structure-property relations; microfibril angle; composites; characterization methods; hygroelastic properties; micromechanics; modelling; reinforcement potential; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Wood fibres can be used as reinforcement in plastics for load carrying purposes. Some advantages compared with conventional man-made fibres are that wood fibres come from a renewable resource, have high specific stiffness and strength, are generally less hazardous to health, biodegradable, and can be manufactured at low cost and high volumes. 2. 2. Cytochemical characterization of peripheral neuroendocrine cell secretory granules on the ultrastructural level

    Författare :Agneta Lukinius; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : .... LÄS MER

  3. 3. Characterization of novel genes of importance for renal glomerular function and disease

    Författare :Ásmundur Oddsson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :kidney glomerulus;

    Sammanfattning : Glomerular kidney diseases are a major health care burden. The glomerular filtration barrier consists of three layers: the slit diaphragm that bridges the interlocking foot pro- cesses of the podocytes, the glomerular basement membrane and fenestrated endothelial cells. 4. 4. Biochemical and immunological characterization of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor from Torpedo marmorata electric organ

    Författare :Lena Elfman; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Neuronal information transfer in vertebrate skeletal muscle and in the electric organ of e.g. Torpedo is mediated by acetylcholine (ACh). The nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) complex translates the binding of ACh into permeability changes. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Poplar wood formation : genotypical influences on structure and chemistry

    Författare :David Sandquist; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Genotypical effects on wood formation in aspen (Populus tremula x tremuloides) have been studied at morphological, ultrastructural and micro-distributional levels. To characterize transgenically induced modifications, light-, fluorescence-, UV-, scanning- and transmission electron microscopy have been applied complemented by immunolabeling, histochemistry, multivariate statistics and image analysis.
