Sammanfattning : This thesis presents perspectives and experiences of different stakeholders and their ways of reasoning around pregnancy and pregnancy care. Data were generated from individual interviews with 25 health care providers, 18 women and 6 traditional birth attendants (TBAs) as well as 11 focus groups discussions with women, men and TBAs. Sammanfattning : This dissertation focuses on the reception of the Theory of Relativity and the Quantum Mechanics outside the field of physics, especially in the philosophical community. In the Swedish context, the study shows how the ideas and discussions about these theories belonged to different types of discourses, some existing long before the arrival of modern physics, some shortlived, and some surviving the earliest reception.
