  1. 1. Phase Modulation Two-Photon Microscopy of Hybrid Halide Perovskite

    Författare :Qi Shi; NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Phase modulation; two-photon microscopy; perovskite; trap; carrier recombination;

    Sammanfattning : Recently, intense research activities have been focused on solution-processed hybrid lead halide perovskite semiconductors which are being developed for the solar-cell, light emitting diode (LED), and lasing applications. To optimize and fabricate a competitive perovskite-based optoelectronic device, the fundamental studies of the electronic structure, photo-generated carrier dynamics as well as the photoluminescence (PL) & photocurrent (PC) response are necessary and of great significance. 2. 2. New insights in contact allergy and drug delivery. A study of formulation effects and hapten targets in skin using two-photon fluorescence microscopy

    Författare :Carl Simonsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; contact allergy; cubic phases; cutaneous absorption; bromobimane; isothiocyanate; lipid vesicles; nano; pilosebaceous unit; ; two-photon microscopy;

    Sammanfattning : The skin is a remarkable barrier, protecting us from invasion of e.g. harmful microorganisms and UV-radiation. However, the skin is not adopted to resist repeated exposure to the multitude of xenobiotics introduced into modern society. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Development of Nonlinear Microscopy for Studies of Metabolism and Tissue Engineering

    Författare :Madeleine Åkeson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; imaging; bacterial cellulose; nonlinear microscopy; Saccharomyces cerevisiae; yeast; C. elegans; Microscopy; lipid storage;

    Sammanfattning : Nonlinear microscopy techniques provide abilities for noninvasive and selective imaging of structural and chemical properties of biological systems. These techniques include coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) microscopy with the ability to selectively image molecular vibrations, second harmonic generation (SHG) microscopy which selectively images fiber structures, and third harmonic generation (THG) microscopy which is sensitive to interfaces between materials with different optical properties. 4. 4. Non-linear Optical Microscopy and Spectroscopy for Biomedical Studies

    Författare :Stina Guldbrand; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Two-Photon Excitation Microscopy; Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy; Multiphoton Luminescence; Human Skin; Gold nanoparticles;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is based on the application of non-linear optical microscopy and spectroscopy techniques within biomedical research. Non-linear optical microscopy gives the possibility of exciting fluorophores using near infrared light. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Exploring nanosystems for biomedical applications focusing on photodynamic therapy and drug delivery

    Författare :Vladimir Kirejev; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Photodynamic therapy; PDT enhancement; Nitric oxide; NO-based PDT; Targeted drug delivery; Galectin-3; mTHPP; Cyclodextrin; CD-mTHPP conjugate; PpIX AuNP combination; Two-photon microscopy; FLIM; Cell phototoxicity; Ex vivo skin;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing incidences of cancer and related deaths call for the development of new and improved treatment modalities. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) today is an alternative to conventional treatments, but has limitations. This thesis explores different nanosystems with aim to improve PDT focusing on spectroscopic and ex vivo studies. LÄS MER
