1. Diagenesis and Reservoir-Quality Evolution of Deep-Water Turbidites: Links to Basin Setting, Depositional Facies, and Sequence Stratigraphy
Sammanfattning : A study of the distribution of diagenetic alterations and their impact on reservoir-quality evolution in four deep-water turbidite successions (Cretaceous to Eocene) from basins in active (foreland) and passive margins revealed the impact of tectonic setting, depositional facies, and changes in the relative sea level. Diagenetic modifications encountered in the turbiditic sandstones from the passive margin basins include dissolution and kaolinitization (kaolin has δ18OV-SMOW = +13. LÄS MER
2. Volcanology of the paleoproterozoic Maurliden area and its four unusual massive sulphide deposits, Skellefteå district, Sweden
Sammanfattning : The Skellefte district is one of three major ore provinces in Sweden and contains more than 85 Zn-Cu-Au-Ag massive sulphide deposits. The Maurliden area is situated in the central part of the district and is a subaqueous volcanic dominated area with four Zn-Pb-Cu-Au-Ag sulphide deposits. LÄS MER
3. Eurasian Arctic Tectonics: Geology of Severnaya Zemlya (North Kara Terrane) and Relationships to the Timanide Margin of Baltica
Sammanfattning : The North Kara Terrane (NKT), with Severnaya Zemlya as its main outcrop area, constitutes the Palaeozoic and older rocks of the northern part of the Kara Shelf. Potential field data suggest a continuation into the eastern Barents Shelf. LÄS MER
4. The genetic relationship between rhyolitic volcanism and Zn-Cu-Au deposits in the Maurliden volcanic centre, Skellefte district, Sweden : volcanic facies, lithogeochemistry and geochronology
Sammanfattning : The Skellefte district is one of three major ore provinces in Sweden and contains more than 80 Zn-Cu-Au-Ag massive sulphide deposits. The Maurliden area in the central part of the district represents a subaqueous, constructional and relatively topographic high silicic volcanic centre. LÄS MER
5. Lithostratigraphy and alteration at the Rävliden North VMS deposit, Skellefte district, Sweden
Sammanfattning : Technological and societal developments in the past century have greatly increased our society’s demand for metals, many which occur in polymetallic ores mined in the Skellefte district, northern Sweden. Near-surface deposits are becoming depleted and as such targeting of deep deposits is needed, which places special demand on effective management, processing and interpretation of geological data obtained from exploration drill holes.
