  1. 1. Time dependent material properties of shotcrete for hard rock tunnelling

    Författare :Lars Elof Bryne; Anders Ansell; Wolfgang Kusterle; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Shotcrete; rock; granite; bond strength; compressive strength; pullout testing; failure modes; interfacial transition zone; micro structure; ettringite; set accelerator; shrinkage; drains; glass fibres; laboratory testing; tunnels tunnelling;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis different mechanical properties for shotcrete (sprayed concrete) such as compression strength, bond strength, bending tensile strength, elastic modulus, free and restrained shrinkage as a function of its age was investigated. One of the main issues was to investigate the difference between ordinary cast concrete and shotcrete. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Analysis of Excavation Damage, Rock Mass Characterisation and Rock Support Design using Drilling Monitoring

    Författare :Jeroen van Eldert; Håkan Schunnesson; Daniel Johansson; David Saiang; Thomas Dalmalm; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Blast damage; Excavation Damage Zone; EDZ; Measurement While Drilling; MWD; Rock support; Rock mass characterisation; Tunnelling; Mining and Rock Engineering; Gruv- och berganläggningsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Prior to an underground excavation a site investigation is carried out. This includes reviewing and analysing existing data, field data collected through outcrop mapping, drill core logging and geophysical investigations. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Drill Monitoring for Rock Mass Assessment in Tunnelling

    Författare :Jeroen van Eldert; Björn Nilsen; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mining and Rock Engineering; Gruv- och berganläggningsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Site investigations for tunnel projects are often unable to determine rock mass conditions accurately for the entire tunnel, as these investigations obtain qualitative data for only limited parts of the tunnel. This is the case at the Stockholm Bypass project in Sweden. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Drip Sealing Grouting of Tunnels in Crystalline Rock: Conceptualisation and Technical Strategies

    Författare :Christian Butron; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; NATURAL SCIENCES; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; icicle formation; drip sealing; unsaturated flow; rock fracture; dripping.; channels; crystalline rock; design; Grouting; ice growth; evaluation;

    Sammanfattning : A conceptual model of the groundwater hydraulic conditions around the tunnel contour in ancient brittle crystalline rocks has been developed and verified. The general aim has been to reach an understanding of the groundwater conditions in and close to the tunnel roof where dripping takes place and to propose technical and practical strategies for waterproofing. 5. 5. Controlled fragmentation and contours in rock blasting : theoretical and technical approaches

    Författare :Agne Rustan; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mining and Rock Engineering; Gruv- och berganläggningsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The Swedish mining and construction industries have a large interest in improving blasting technology, in milling concerning rock fragmentation by blasting (especially underground in large diameter hole blasting, > 100 mm) and in construction and mining concerning controlled and safe contours in blasted tunnels. This doctoral thesis deals with these matters and includes a licentiate thesis (published in 1970) and five papers A-E included in the doctoral thesis and published during 1983 to 1992. LÄS MER
