    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates advanced Swedish students’ development of three grammatical phenomena: subject-verb concord, prepositions and article use in compositions and translations. In order to describe the students’ development of these categories, actual errors are related to potential errors forming so called ‘error scores’. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Hand assessment for infants : development, internal scale validity, reliability and normative reference values

    Författare :Linda Ek; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Infants use their hands to explore the world and neural event in the developing brain can affect the infant’s ability to use the hands. An infant that has suffered a brain lesion may show clinical signs of unilateral cerebral palsy as early as at three months of age, however, to quantify an asymmetric hand use and evaluate the results of early interventions there is a need for assessment tools producing valid and reliable measures. 3. 13. Structure-Based Virtual Screening : New Methods and Applications in Infectious Diseases

    Författare :Micael Jacobsson; Anders Karlén; Mats Kihlén; Antti Poso; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; : drug discovery; docking; scoring; virtual screening; malaria; tuberculosis; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Läkemedelskemi;

    Sammanfattning : A drug discovery project typically starts with a pharmacological hypothesis: that the modulation of a specific molecular biological mechanism would be beneficial in the treatment of the targeted disease. In a small-molecule project, the next step is to identify hits, i.e. molecules that can effect this modulation. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Exercising the self : On the Role of Exercise, Gender and Culture in Physical Self-Perceptions

    Författare :Magnus Lindwall; Peter Hassmén; Taru Lintunen; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Physical self-perceptions; exercise; gender; culture; social physique anxiety; self-presentation; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : In modern society, individuals constantly pass judgments on their own body and physical competence as well as that of other people. All too often, the verdict is less favourable. For the person, these physical self-perceptions (PSP) may negatively affect global self-esteem, identity, and general mental well being. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Structured Learning for Structural Bioinformatics : Applications of Deep Learning to Protein Structure Prediction

    Författare :David Menéndez Hurtado; Arne Elofsson; Sergei Grudinin; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biochemistry towards Bioinformatics; biokemi med inriktning mot bioinformatik;

    Sammanfattning : Proteins are the basic molecular machines of the cell, performing a broad range of tasks, from structural support to catalysisof chemical reactions. Their function is determined by their 3D structure, which in turn is dictated by the order of their components, the amino acids. LÄS MER
