  1. 1. Trilobites from the Middle and Upper Ordovician Andersön Shale Formation in Jämtland and the equivalent Killeröd Formation in Skåne, Sweden

    Författare :Kristina Månsson; Berggrundsgeologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fysisk geografi; Geologi; physical geography; Geology; Sweden; Jämtland; Skåne; Upper Ordovician; Middle Ordovician; Killeröd Formation; Andersön Shale Formation; ontogeny; biostratigraphy; Trilobita; taxonomy; trilobite associations; Systematic zoology; zoogeography; Zoologisk systematik; djurgeografi; Development biology; growth animal ; embryology; Utvecklingsbiologi; ontogeni; embryologi;

    Sammanfattning : Trilobites from the Middle and Upper Ordovician Andersön Shale Formation in Jämtland, central Sweden, and the Middle Ordovician Killeröd Formation in Skåne (Scania), southern Sweden, are revised and discussed. These formations have several genera and a few species in common, e.g. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Upper middle Cambrian through Furongian of Scandinavia with focus on trilobites, paleoenvironments and correlations

    Författare :Fredrik Terfelt; Berggrundsgeologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Paleontologi; Palaeontology; Scandinavia; Paleoenvironments; Biostratigraphy; Trilobites; Cambrian; Furongian;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is based on studies of upper middle Cambrian through Furongian strata in Scandinavia with focus on trilobite biostratigraphy, taxonomy, paleoecology, and intercontinental correlation. The material studied derives mainly from Västergötland and Scania, southern Sweden. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Studies on Silurian trilobites from Gotland, Sweden

    Författare :Lars Ramsköld; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Trilobites of five families (Cheiruridae, Odontopleuridae, Encrinuridae, Phacopidae and Dalmanitidae) are described from the Silurian of Gotland. Fifty-five species (fourty-four named, of which twenty are new) are assigned to seventeen genera, of which Radiurus is new. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Evolution and taxonomy of Cambrian arthropods from Greenland and Sweden

    Författare :Martin Stein; John S. Peel; Dieter Waloszek; David J. Siveter; Reinhardt M. Kristensen; David L. Bruton; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cambrian; Arthropods; Trilobites; Evolution; Greenland; Sweden; Historical geology and palaeontology; Historisk geologi och paleontologi;

    Sammanfattning : Arthropods have a rich fossil record spanning the Phanerozoic. Biomineralized forms such as the extinct trilobites are particularly common and are proven index fossils for biostratigraphy. Forms with an unmineralized cuticle are more rare, preserved only in so called konservat lagerstätten. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The Cambrian lophotrochozoans of the Transantarctic Mountains, Antarctica

    Författare :Lewis Bassett-Butt; Lars Holmer; Glenn Brock; Christian Skovsted; Jan Ove Ebbestad; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Brachiopoda; Dailyatia; Cambrian; Drumian; Middle Cambrian; Early Cambrian; Antarctica; tommotiid; camenellan; palaeobiology; small shelly fossils; Earth Science with specialization in Historical Geology and Palaeontology; Geovetenskap med inriktning mot historisk geologi och paleontologi;

    Sammanfattning : The origin of many lophotrochozoan groups can be traced to “small shelly fossil” (SSF) faunas of the Early Cambrian. Antarctica is a key region of study, due to the continent’s known close geographical proximity to well-studied Australian and Indian basins in in the Cambrian. LÄS MER
