  1. 1. Spatial Design for Circularity - Exploring Spatial Aspects in Housing Design with Focus on the Kitchen

    Författare :Anita Ollár; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; spatial design; value proposition; circular economy; sociomateriality; adaptability; kitchen; circular design; housing design;

    Sammanfattning : The building industry and especially multiresidential buildings are responsible for a large portion of environmental impact, energy use and resource exploitation. Hence, there is a need to shift towards more sustainable design solutions for such buildings, which might be achieved by adopting circular economy strategies. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Staging urban emergence through collective creativity: Devising an outdoor mobile augmented reality tool

    Författare :Hyekyung Imottesjo; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Urban Rules; Emergent processes; outdoor mobile augmented reality; Compact city; Complex adaptive systems; Urban resilience; collaborative design; research-through-design;

    Sammanfattning : The unpredictability of global geopolitical conflicts, economic trends, and impacts of climate change, coupled with an increasing urban population, necessitates a more profound commitment to resilience thinking in urban planning and design. In contrast to top-down planning and designing for sustainability, allowing for emergence to take place seems to contribute to a capacity to better deal with this complex unpredictability, by allowing incremental changes through bottom-up, self-organized adaptation made by diverse actors in the proximity of various social, economical and functional entities in the urban context. 3. 3. Repetition Recurrence Return

    Författare :Lotta Lundstedt; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; slow wearing; slow fashion; slow art; naturla dye; textile art; Textiles and Fashion Design ; Textil och mode konstnärlig ;

    Sammanfattning : Repetition is part of our everyday lives: it is all around us, in patterns, art, and habits like having a cup of tea or getting dressed each morning. Repetition, recurrence, and return are also fundamental in nature – there are shifts in the seasons and regular, rhythmic elements, such as the weather, that occur over and over again. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Surface Roughness Considerations in Design for Additive Manufacturing: A Space Industry Case Study

    Författare :Didunoluwa Obilanade; Peter Törlind; Christo Dordlofva; Anna Rönnbäck Öhrwall; Marta-Lena Antti; Stankovic Tino; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Additive Manufacturing; Space Industry; Surface Roughness; Design for Additive Manufacturing; DfAM; Laser Powder Bed Fusion; Produktinnovation; Product Innovation;

    Sammanfattning : Additive Manufacturing (AM), commonly known as 3D printing, represents manufacturing technology that creates objects layer by layer based on 3D model data. AM technologies have capabilities that provide engineers with new design opportunities outside the constraints of traditional subtractive manufacturing. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Trends in Magnetism : From Strong Correlations to “-onics” Technology

    Författare :Dmitry Yudin; Olle Eriksson; Grigori Volovik; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Strongly interacting electron systems; Spin dynamics; Topological matter; Physics with spec. in Atomic; Molecular and Condensed Matter Physics; Fysik med inriktning mot atom- molekyl- och kondenserande materiens fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Despite of enormous progress in experimental nanophysics theoretical studies of low-dimensional electron systems still remains a challenging task. Indeed, most of the structures are strongly correlated, so that an effective perturbative treatment is impossible due to the lack of a small parameter. LÄS MER
