    Sammanfattning : What impact did expanding Bronze Age networks have on regions located between the great centers in the period 1700-1100 BC? Where the Aegean meets the Balkans, Central Macedonia lies between well-known cultures connected by veins of communication such as the Axios River.     Sammanfattning : The overarching aim of this thesis, situated within Museology and Heritage Studies, is to investigate the different modes and devices of transfer between sacredness and heritage. The research question, 'What happens in the transfer between heritage and sacredness?', is investigated as production of sacred heritage in early modern Europe and specifically Sweden, Rome, and Venice (Part I), and as uses of the sacred as heritage in different times and contexts (Part II).     Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyze the images of China in Swedish travelers’ published accounts – traditional travelogues as well as diaries, diplomatic reports, letters, and geographical handbooks – between 1749 and 1912. The main problem of the study is the question of continuity and change in these images, which are seen as the result of an encounter between preconceived notions and personal experience. LÄS MER
