6. Chloride Transport in Concrete under the Frost Action – An Experimental Study
Sammanfattning : Frost-induced ingress of chloride in concrete is one of the typical transport phenomena of aggressive substances when structures expose to severe environments such as marine tidal zone and de-icing highway in winter seasons. It is well known that Chloride ingress in concrete causes the reinforcement corrosion. LÄS MER
7. A Risk Analysis Framework for Maritime Transport of Packaged Dangerous Goods - A Validating Demonstration (Volumes I and II) - click here to view both volumes in PDF
Sammanfattning : Abstract - Vol. I In this Volume of the thesis, which consists of two volumes, a risk analysis framework for application in the maritime transport system of packaged dangerous goods (PDG) is presented. In many countries, dangerous goods risks have been ranked high among public concerns. LÄS MER

9. From Peak to Peak: Exploring Electron Hopping and Mass Transport in Metal-Organic Frameworks
Sammanfattning : Incorporating molecular electrocatalysts into solid support structures combines the best of two worlds: their molecular nature allows precise structural tunability for selective and efficient conversion of small molecule substrates, while their structural integrity is greatly improved by the heterogeneous support matrix to allow for long-term stability and potentially industrial-scale applications. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) represent a potential class of materials to act as viable support scaffolds for hosting molecular catalysts for sustainable energy conversion, exhibiting well-ordered porous structures that can support high loading densities of catalyst species. 10. Moisture and Chloride Transport in Concrete
Sammanfattning : Material properties pertaining to the physical phenomena of mass transport in concrete are important for the durability of concrete structures, and they can ultimately be derived from material heterogeneities found at different subscales. On the mesoscale level, these heterogeneities are mainly characterized by the presence of embedded aggregates in the cement paste, together with cracks. LÄS MER
