  1. 11. Genetic and Genomic Analysis of Transcriptional Regulation in Human Cells

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Mehdi Motallebipour; Uppsala universitet.; [2008]

    Sammanfattning : There are around 20.000 genes in the human genome all of which could potentially be expressed. However, it is obvious that not all of them can be active at the same time. Thus, there is a need for coordination achieved through the regulation of transcription. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Regulation of gene expression in fruit flies how does it start, and will it be remembered?

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå University, Department of Molecular Biology

    Författare :Aman Zare; Umeå universitet.; [2018]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Drosophila; epigenetics; transcription; gene regulation; transcription maintenance; CBP; polymerase pausing; Polycomb group proteins; transgenerational inheritance of transcriptional response; gut microbiome; molekylärbiologi; Molecular Biology;

    Sammanfattning : One of the most distinctive features of eukaryotic chromosomes is the bundling of DNA together with functionally associated RNA and proteins in chromatin. This allows huge amounts of DNA to be packed inside the very tiny space of the nucleus, and alterations in the structure of chromatin enable access to the DNA for transcription (“reading” genes by production of RNA copies). 3. 13. Functional collaboration between HLH transcription factors in B cell development

    Detta är en avhandling från Ramiro Gisler, Stem cell laboratory, BMC, B12, Klinikg.26, 22184 Lund, Sweden

    Författare :Ramiro Gisler; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2002]

    Sammanfattning : The cells in B cell development can be divided into several subgroups or fractions, e.g. early-pro-B-, pro-B, large-pre-B-, small-pre-B-, immature and mature B cells, where the stages reflect the maturity degree of the cells. LÄS MER

  4. 14. The hematopoietic transcription factor RUNX1 a structural view

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå centrum för molekylär patogenes (UCMP) (Teknisk-naturvetenskaplig fakultet)

    Författare :Stefan Bäckström; Umeå universitet.; [2004]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Molecular medicine; RUNX1; Runt domain; CBFβ; transcription factor; leukaemia; protein crystallography; anomalous diffraction; Molekylärmedicin; MEDICINE Dermatology and venerology; clinical genetics; internal medicine Internal medicine Molecular medicine genetics and pathology ; MEDICIN Dermatologi och venerologi; klinisk genetik; invärtesmedicin Invärtesmedicin Molekylär medicin genetik och patologi ; molekylärbiologi; Molecular Biology;

    Sammanfattning : The malfunction of the transcriptional regulator RUNX1 is the major cause of several variants of acute human leukemias and its normal function is to regulate the development of the blood system in concert with other transcriptional co-regulators. RUNX1 belongs to a conserved family of heterodimeric transcription factors that share a conserved DNA binding domain, the Runt domain (RD), named after the first member of this group – Runt - found in Drosophila melanogaster. 5. 15. Functional Characterization of the Cellular Protein p32 A Protein Regulating Adenovirus Transcription and Splicing Through Targeting of Phosphorylation

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Christina Öhrmalm; Uppsala universitet.; [2006]
    Nyckelord :Cell and molecular biology; Adenovirus; p32; ASF SF2; E4-ORF4; Splicing; Transcription; CTD; RNA Pol II; Cell- och molekylärbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Cellular processes involved in the conversion of the genetic information from DNA into a protein are often regulated by reversible phosphorylation reactions. By modulating the phosphorylated status of key proteins their activity can either be enhanced or repressed. LÄS MER
