11. Nonlinear Model-based Control of Automotive Powertrains
Sammanfattning : In recent years the focus of powertrain control has shifted perspective from control of the individual powertrain components to control of the complete powertrain, so-called integrated powertrain control. The idea presented in this thesis is to view the powertrain as one single control object and to used the engine as a torque actuator to the rest of the driveline. LÄS MER
12. Neuromuscular aspects of eccentric knee extensor actions : effects of electrical stimulation, age, gender and training
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to study the effects of electrical stimulation, age, gender and training on the torque- and EMG-velocity relationships during eccentric knee extensor muscle actions in man. An isokinetic custom-built dynamometer was evaluated and used throughout the thesis. LÄS MER
13. Modelling for Fuel Optimal Control of a Variable Compression Engine
Sammanfattning : Variable compression engines are a mean to meet the demand on lower fuel consumption. A high compression ratio results in high engine efficiency, but also increases the knock tendency. On conventional engines with fixed compression ratio, knock is avoided by retarding the ignition angle. LÄS MER
14. Measurements and Modelling of Low-Frequency Disturbances in Induction Machines
Sammanfattning : The thesis deals with the dynamic response of the induction machine to low-frequency perturbations in the shaft torque, supply voltage and supply frequency. Also the response of a two-machine group connected to a weak grid is investigated. LÄS MER
15. Design and optimization of parallel haptic devices : Design methodology and experimental evaluation
Sammanfattning : The simulation of surgical procedures, in the case of hard tissues such as bone or teeth milling, using a haptic milling surgery simulator requires a haptic device which can provide high stiffness and transparency. To mimic a real milling process of hard tissue, such as for example creating a narrow channel or cavity, the simulator needs to provide force/torque feedback in 5–6 degrees of freedom (DOF). LÄS MER
