1. A Dynamic View of Melodic Organization and Performance : Perception of Structure and Emotional Expression in Music
Sammanfattning : Psychology of music has shown renewed interest in how music expresses emotion to listeners. However, there is an obvious lack of research on how interactions between musical factors such as harmony, rhythm, melodic contour, loudness, and articulation may affect perceived emotion. LÄS MER
2. Assessment and control of tonal components in electric vehicles
Sammanfattning : New challenges arise for noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) engineers when electric motors are introduced into cars traditionally powered by internal combustion engines (ICE). The noise signature from an electric traction motor is characterized by speed-dependent high frequency tonal components due to electro-magnetic excitation. LÄS MER
3. Advanced Fluid-Structure Interaction Modelling and Simulation for Aerospace Applications
Sammanfattning : Numerical fluid-structure interaction (FSI) methods for the prediction of aeroelastic phenomena are important within aerospace. The continuous development of computer technologies has enabled the use of more advanced FSI methods. The use of advanced methods has the potential to provide more accurate predictions. LÄS MER
4. Ljudstrukturen i dialekten i Rödåliden : Auditiv analys av fonemen i en norrländsk dialekt i början av 2000-talet

5. Nuclear Intonation in Swedish : Evidence from Experimental-Phonetic Studies and a Comparison with German
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates Swedish intonation patterns and their interaction with word accent realisation in various pragmatic conditions, using German as a reference language. The point of departure is the wide-spread assumption that Swedish, as a language with a tonal word accent distinction, has a considerably smaller repertoire of nuclear intonation contours than German and other so-called intonation languages.
