  1. 1. A Dynamic View of Melodic Organization and Performance Perception of Structure and Emotional Expression in Music

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Erik Lindström; Uppsala universitet.; [2004]
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Psychology; accents; emotion; expression; musical structure; tonal structure; Psykologi; SOCIAL SCIENCES Social sciences Psychology; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP Socialvetenskap Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Psychology of music has shown renewed interest in how music expresses emotion to listeners. However, there is an obvious lack of research on how interactions between musical factors such as harmony, rhythm, melodic contour, loudness, and articulation may affect perceived emotion. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Assessment and control of tonal components in electric vehicles

    Detta är en avhandling från Luleå tekniska universitet

    Författare :David Lennström; Luleå tekniska universitet.; [2015]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Teknisk akustik; Engineering Acoustics;

    Sammanfattning : New challenges arise for noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) engineers when electric motors are introduced into cars traditionally powered by internal combustion engines (ICE). The noise signature from an electric traction motor is characterized by speed-dependent high frequency tonal components due to electro-magnetic excitation. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This study investigates the sound structure of the dialect of the Rödåliden area in the province of Västerbotten in Northern Sweden. The aim is to describe the phonological system with a structural approach. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Nuclear Intonation in Swedish : Evidence from Experimental-Phonetic Studies and a Comparison with German

    Detta är en avhandling från Centre for Languages and Literature, Lund University

    Författare :Gilbert Ambrazaitis; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2009]
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; parallel encoding; contrastive topic; new information; given information; focus; information structure; pragmatics; nucleus; sentence accent; prosody; word accent; F0; early peak; perception; reaction time;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates Swedish intonation patterns and their interaction with word accent realisation in various pragmatic conditions, using German as a reference language. The point of departure is the wide-spread assumption that Swedish, as a language with a tonal word accent distinction, has a considerably smaller repertoire of nuclear intonation contours than German and other so-called intonation languages. 5. 5. Reduction of Audible Noise of a Traction Motor at PWM Operation

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Författare :Hanna Amlinger; KTH.; [2018]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; electromagnetic noise; pulse width modulation PWM ; switching frequency; traction motor; Farkostteknik; Vehicle and Maritime Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : A dominating source for the radiated acoustic noise from a train at low speeds is the traction motor. This noise originates from electromagnetic forces acting on the structure resulting in vibrations on the surface and thus radiated noise. It is often perceived as annoying due to its tonal nature.
