  1. 1. Demand Side Response : Exploring How and Why Users Respond to Signals Aimed at Incentivizing a Shift of Electricity Use in Time

    Författare :Isak Öhrlund; Cajsa Bartusch; Peter Juslin; Mikael Larsson; Jacopo Torriti; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Demand response; Electricity use flexibility; Time-varying rate; Dynamic pricing; Price-based program; Time-of-use; Demand charge; Real-time pricing; Real-time feedback; Prosumer; Non-price signal; Non-price incentive; Engineering Science with specialization in industrial engineering and management; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot industriell teknik;

    Sammanfattning : With increased weather-dependent electricity production and electrification at the heart of the ongoing transition away from fossil fuels, peaks in electricity demand are set to increase and become increasingly difficult to meet, which threatens the functioning of the electric power systems that our society depends on. Time-varying electricity rates, which aim to incentivize electricity users to shift their electricity use in time, have been proposed as a key instrument in alleviating grid imbalances and bottlenecks. 2. 2. Response Time as Self-Schema Indicator : Implications for Personality Assessment

    Författare :Lars-Erik Hedlund; Bo Ekehammar; Nazar Akrami; Martin Bäckström; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Self-schema; response time; inverted-U effect; heritability; personality assessment; curvilinearity; personality trait; five factor model; Psychology; Psykologi; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : The focal objective of this thesis was to examine the potential advantage of introducing the self-schema concept, indexed by response time, into personality assessment. The basic rationale for the use of response time is that a self-schema facilitates response time for self-referent information as it permits people to make assessments easier and automatic. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Engineering Strength Response-Time Analysis : A Timing Analysis Approach for the Development of Real-Time Systems

    Författare :Jukka Mäki-Turja; Mikael Nolin; Michael González Harbour; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Vid utvecklingen av datorsystem som är en del av en större produkt, som t.ex. styrsystemet i en bil, ett flygplan eller medicinsk utrustning, ställs det ofta mycket hårda krav på säkerhet och tillförlitlighet. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Transient Air to Fuel Ratio Response in a Fuel Injected S.I Engine

    Författare :Göran Almkvist; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; dynamic; A F; model; transient; air to fuel; response; time constant; film; behavior; lambda; time-delay; fuel; mass; deposit factor;

    Sammanfattning : Future emission standards make it necessary to focus on the conditions under which engine emissions are produced, especially before the catalyst light off. During practical driving conditions, such as those represented by the FTP 75 test cycle, the engine is operated very much under transient conditions regarding load and speed. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Real-Time Workload Models : Expressiveness vs. Analysis Efficiency

    Författare :Martin Stigge; Wang Yi; Sanjoy Baruah; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Real-time systems; task models; EDF; fixed-priority scheduling; schedulability analysis; response-time analysis; abstraction refinement; Computer Science with specialization in Real Time Systems; Datavetenskap med inriktning mot realtidssystem;

    Sammanfattning : The requirements for real-time systems in safety-critical applications typically contain strict timing constraints. The design of such a system must be subject to extensive validation to guarantee that critical timing constraints will never be violated while the system operates. LÄS MER
