  1. 1. Frequency Domain Identification of Continuous-Time Systems : Reconstruction and Robustness

    Författare :Jonas Gillberg; Lennart Ljung; Fredrik Gustafsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Discrete-time domain; Frequency-domain identification; Signal processing; Frequency-domain; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Approaching parameter estimation from the discrete-time domain is the dominating paradigm in system identification. Identification of continuous-time models on the other hand is motivated by the fact that modelling of physical systems often take place in continuous-time. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Ultra-Wideband Time Domain Measurement Systems for Microwave Tomography

    Författare :Xuezhi Zeng; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Time DomainMeasurement; Ultra-Wideband; EquivalentTime Sampling; Real Time Sampling; Microwave Tomography; Measurement Error; Frequency Domain Measurement;

    Sammanfattning : As a potential imaging modality for biomedical applications, microwave tomography has attracted a lot of interests in recent years. With microwave tomography, microwave signals are transmitted into the biological tissues and the scattered fields are recorded. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Time Domain Boundary Element Methods for Acoustic Scattering

    Författare :Georgios Natsiopoulos; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; time domain; curved surface; room acoustics; boss model; boundary element method; regularization; transient; Hermite interpolation; hypersingular; acoustic scattering; vector potential;

    Sammanfattning : In room acoustics, numerical computation of scattering phenomena is an important subject, since it is needed to accurately predict the influence of reflectors, the audience, balconies, etc, on the perceived acoustic quality of auditoria. The large physical volumes of auditoria and the wide frequency content of music and speech, together with the complicated geometries involved however, makes predictions in room acoustics a challenging task from a computational point of view. 4. 4. NA transmembrane domain : Amphiphilic drift to accommodate two functions

    Författare :Johan Nordholm; Robert Daniels; Ervin Fodor; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; influenza; IAV; neuraminidase; NA; transmembrane domain; TMD; secretory protein; ER-targeting sequence; ER-targeting sequence coding region; protein regulation; NS1; GALLEX; Biochemistry; biokemi;

    Sammanfattning : Neuraminidase (NA) is one of two major antigens on the surface of influenza A viruses. It is comprised of a single N-terminal transmembrane domain (TMD), a stalk domain, and a C-terminal enzymatic head domain that cleaves sialic acid, most notably to release new particles from the host cell surface. 5. 5. Hybrid Solvers for the Maxwell Equations in Time-Domain

    Författare :Fredrik Edelvik; Per Lötstedt; Jan Hesthaven; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Maxwell s equations; time-domain; finite volume methods; finite element methods; hybrid solver; dispersive materials; thin wires; Beräkningsvetenskap; Scientific Computing;

    Sammanfattning : The most commonly used method for the time-domain Maxwell equations is the Finite-Difference Time-Domain method (FDTD). This is an explicit, second-order accurate method, which is used on a staggered Cartesian grid. The main drawback with the FDTD method is its inability to accurately model curved objects and small geometrical features. LÄS MER
