    Sammanfattning : The central theme of this thesis is the Christianization of Iceland during the period from the late 10th century to the turn of the 12th century. The distinct, though similar, branches of Christianity are traced through the archaeological record, where the excavation of an Early Medieval timber church and graveyard at Thórarinsstadhir in Seydhisfjördhur is used as a basic source.     Sammanfattning : The study concerns the structural behaviour of old wooden roof trusses in Swedish churches. FE-modelling of their properties as based on seven different trusses was used in evaluations aimed at the creation of a tool for gaining a better understand¬ing of such trusses.
