    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; municipal solid waste; incineration; hybrid cycle; power production; thermally driven cooling; absorption chillers; decentralized thermally driven cooling; district heating; Mechanical and thermal engineering; Mekanisk och termisk energiteknik; SRA - Energy; SRA - Energi;

    Sammanfattning : Increasingly intensive efforts are being made to enhance energy systems via augmented introduction of renewable energy along with improved energy efficiency. Resource constraints and sustained high fossil fuel prices have created a new phenomenon in the world market. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Evaluation of Modular Thermally Driven Heat Pump Systems

    Författare :Corey Blackman; Eva Thorin; Chris Bales; Christian Schweigler; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; sorption heat pump; sorption module; thermochemical energy storage; artificial neural network; built environment; solar energy; gas-driven heat pump; solar cooling; heating and cooling; renewable energy; energy efficiency; experimental; simulation; analytical; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik; Reesbe företagsforskarskola;

    Sammanfattning : The building sector accounts for approximately 40% of primary energy use within the European Union, therefore reductions in the energy use intensity of this sector are critical in decreasing total energy usage. Given that the majority of energy used within the built environment is for space conditioning and domestic hot water preparation, prudence would suggest that decreasing primary energy used for these end purposes would have the biggest overall environmental impact. 3. 3. Evaluation of a thermally driven heat pump for solar heating and cooling applications

    Författare :Corey Blackman; Chris Bales; Eva Thorin; Victoria Martin; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; solar energy; solar heating and cooling; sorption integrated; Reesbe företagsforskarskola; Reesbe företagsforskarskola; Energy- and Environmental Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Exploiting solar energy technology for both heating and cooling purposes has the potential of meeting an appreciable portion of the energy demand in buildings throughout the year. By developing an integrated, multi-purpose solar energy system, that can operate all twelve months of the year, a high utilisation factor can be achieved which translates to more economical systems. 4. 4. Microstructure model for Ti-6Al-4V used in simulation of additive manufacturing

    Författare :Corinne Charles Murgau; Lars-Erik Lindgren; Niklas Järvstråt; Robert Pederson; Sören Sjöström; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Titanium alloy; Ti-6Al-4V; Welding; Metal deposition; Additive manufacturing; Wire feed; Finite Element Method; Microstructure model; Johnson-Mehl-Avrami- Kolmogorov; Thermally driven; Production Technology; Produktionsteknik; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik; Material Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is devoted to microstructure modelling of Ti-6Al-4V. The microstructure and the mechanical properties of titanium alloys are highly dependent on the temperature history experienced by the material. The developed microstructure model accounts for thermaldriving forces and is applicable for general temperature histories. LÄS MER
