    Sammanfattning : Carl Lindhagen was one of Sweden’s most well-known politicians at the beginning ofthe 20th century. He entered parliament as a Liberal in 1897 but joined the Social Democrats in 1909.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines the relation between orality and literacy in the authorship of Fritiof Nilsson, The Pirate (1895-1972), who was well known both as an author and as an oral storyteller. The investigation is divided into four areas: The first concerns the contents of Fritiof Nilsson´s texts, especially different kind of folklore genres, that belong to verbal traditions (anecdotes, proverbs, legends, folk customs, folk medicin etc).     Sammanfattning : This thesis presents how humanitarian aid workers were attracted, motivated, recruited, and prepared for fieldwork, and how they reported their work experience directly from the field and when they returned home. Data were derived from interviews with experienced aid workers, focus group discussions with presumptive aid workers, analysis of letters from aid workers in the field on MSFs homepages in Europe, and from interviews with recruitment officers at some of the main humanitarian organisations.     Sammanfattning : In the 1960s, a few individuals in Scandinavia got so interested in Scottish Highland piping and pipe band drumming that they started to play themselves, although there was no existing tradition for this music in Scandinavia, and they formed a small community of dedicated pipers and drummers. The major objective of this thesis is to analyse the background to why and processes through which the marginal culture of Scottish piping and drumming spread to and developed in Scandinavia as well as to interrogate what use and function this genre of music may have in Scandinavia.
