   Sammanfattning : The principal aim of this dissertation is to answer the age-old question What is diplomacy? But this study approaches the question in what might, on first look, appear oblique. By employing Slavoj Žižek’s reworked notion of Ideologiekritik with respect to the history, science, and artistic explorations of diplomacy, this work begins by extracting three of its essential problems: the name, death, and representation. Designed initially for the purpose of controlling religious activity, over time the institution of the muftiate was appropriated by Muslims and became a key factor in preserving national identity for different ethnic groups of Tatars.    Sammanfattning : In 1956 the wreck of the 64-gun Swedish warship Wasa, sunk on her maiden voyage in the harbour of Stockholm the 10th of August 1628, was found at a depth of 32 metres. Preparations for salvaging the ship started, and in April 1961 the Wasa broke the surface after 333 years on the sea bottom. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the Annunciation motif and the use of images in a medieval socio-cultural context. There are almost 400 medieval images of the Annunciation from the period 1150–1550 in Sweden today. It is found in murals, baptismal fonts, paintings, wooden sculpture, stone reliefs, liturgical vessels, textile works and altarpieces. LÄS MER
