1. Terephthalate-Functionalized Conducting Redox Polymers for Energy Storage Applications
Sammanfattning : Organic electrode materials, as sustainable and environmental benign alternatives to inorganic electrode materials, show great promise for achieving cheap, light, versatile and disposable devices for electrical energy storage applications. Conducting redox polymers (CRPs) are a new class of organic electrode materials where the charge storage capacity is provided by the redox chemistry of functional pendent groups and electronic conductivity is provided by the doped conducting polymer backbone, enabling the production of energy storage devices with high charge storage capacity and high power capability. 2. Conducting Redox Polymers for Electrode Materials : Synthetic Strategies and Electrochemical Properties
Sammanfattning : Organic electrode materials represent an intriguing alternative to their inorganic counterparts due to their sustainable and environmental-friendly properties. Their plastic character allows for the realization of light-weight, versatile and disposable devices for energy storage. LÄS MER
3. Mechanical Properties of Liquid Crystal Polymer Fibres
Sammanfattning : Fibres of thermotropic liquid crystalline polymers (LCP) and its blends containing a random coil polymer LCP have been spun at low draw ratio at different temperatures and shear rates. Their mechanical properties have been studied in detail. LÄS MER
4. Enzyme Printed Fabrics : Bio‐functionalisation of Synthetic Textiles by Digital Inkjet Printing
Sammanfattning : This thesis explores the possibilities of printing enzymes using resource-efficient technologies to promote the binding of other proteins and biomaterials on synthetic textiles. This strategy can be used to develop advanced textiles for applications, for example, in antimicrobial, drug delivery and biosensing. LÄS MER
5. Processing of self-reinforced poly(ethylene terephthalate) composites for automotive applications
Sammanfattning : The vehicles of the future must have less negative environmental impact during their use phase than the vehicles of today in order to avoid major climate change on earth. Consequently electric vehicles are currently under development with the purpose of reducing CO2 emissions when the vehicle isdriven. LÄS MER
