21. A Case-Based Reasoning System for the Diagnosis of Individual Sensitivity to Stress in Psychophysiology
Sammanfattning : Increased stress is a continuing problem in our present world. Especiallynegative stress could cause serious health problems if it remainsundiagnosed/misdiagnosed and untreated. In the stress medicine, clinicians’measure blood pressure, ECG, finger temperature and breathing rate during anumber of exercises to diagnose stress-related disorders. LÄS MER
22. Influences of temperature, fatigue and mixed mode loading on the cohesive properties of adhesive layers
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns some aspects that have influence on the strength of adhesive layers. The strength is determined by the stress deformation-relation of the layer. This relation is also referred to as cohesive law. LÄS MER
23. On the Modelling of Mechanical Dewatering in Papermaking
Sammanfattning : Most of the water fed into a paper machine is removedmechanically in the forming and press sections. One of thefactor which has an important influence on mechanicaldewatering, i.e. in both forming and pressing, is thestress-strain behaviour of the fibre network. LÄS MER
24. Spring water stress in Scots pine: interaction of snow and soil temperature
Sammanfattning : Water use and net carbon assimilation during spring was examined on Scots pine trees exposed to different soil warming dynamics in the field. Sap flow, needle water potential and net carbon assimilation were measured on trees that were exposed to a wide range of soil temperature regimes caused by manipulating the snow cover on tree-scale soil plots. 25. Alloy Design for Refractory High Entropy Alloys with Better Balanced Mechanical Properties at Both Room Temperature and Elevated Temperatures
Sammanfattning : Motivated by the desire to improve the energy efficiency of gas turbines by operating them at higher temperatures (HT), which will contribute to a more energy efficient and carbonless society, the quest for novel ultrahigh-temperature materials can never be overwhelming. High entropy alloys, the recently emerged multi-component alloys with equiatomic or close-to-equiatomic compositions, are considered highly promising as next-generation ultrahigh-temperature materials.
