  1. 1. MEMS Interfaces for Bioanalysis Systems

    Författare :Thomas Frisk; Göran Stemme; Andreas Hierlemann; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; microfluidic interfacing; microfluidics; µTAS; sample transfer; biosensor; electronic nose; surface tension; quartz crystal microbalance; QCM; narcotics detection; Electronic measurement and instrumentation; Elektronisk mät- och apparatteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with various aspects of using open microfluidic interfaces. Three specific areas of application are studied. The first is air-to-liquid interfacing in biosensors with possibilities for component integration. A micromachined interface for airborne sample-to-liquid and droplet-to-liquid adsorption is discussed. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Robust Algorithms for Multiple View Geometry: Outliers and Optimality

    Författare :Olof Enqvist; Matematik LTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with the geometrical parts of computer vision, or more precisely, with the three-dimensional geometry. The overall aim is to extract geometric information from a set of images. Most methods for estimating the geometry of multiple views rely on the existence of robust solvers for a set of basic problems. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Above and Below Graphene: Nanoparticle Chemistry and Interface Reactions

    Författare :Elin Grånäs; Synkrotronljusfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Graphene; Scanning tunneling microscopy; X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy; Adsorption; Nanoparticles; Ir 111 ; Surface science;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this dissertation addresses two main topics: (i) graphene supported nanoparticles and their stability upon gas adsorption, and (ii) intercalation of different molecules under graphene and their reactions under graphene. From an interplay of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning tunneling microscopy, low energy electron diffraction, and density functional theory an atomic scale understanding of both the nanoparticles and the intercalated structures is obtained.
