    Författare :Gustaf Tegler; Anders Wanhainen; Martin Björck; Jens Sörensen; Lars Norgren; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Abdominal aortic aneurysm; AAA; Positron emission tomography; PET; Molecular Imaging; Pathophysiology; Autoradiography; Angiogenesis; integrin alphaVbeta3; FDG; 18F-FDG; 11C-PK11195; 11C-D-deprenyl; [18F]fluciclatide; Fluciclatide; Bukaortaaneurysm; Molekylär bilddiagnostik; Patofysiologi; PET; Autoradiografi; Angiogenes; Surgery; Kirurgi; Medicinsk radiofysik; Medical Radiophysics;

    Sammanfattning : The pathological process behind abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) formation is poorly understood and difficult to study. The aim of the thesis was to study the pathophysiology of AAA formation with positron emission tomography (PET) technology, a molecular imaging technique, allowing in vivo studies of pathophysiological changes. Författare :Kristina Tegler Jerselius; Torkel Jansson; Hanne Sanders; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; History; Historia; History subjects; Historieämnen; historia; History;

    Sammanfattning : The dissertation deals with an unexpected outburst of witchcraft accusations in Gagnef, Dalarna, in 1858. The object is to uncover how witchcraft accusations were used and interpreted, and how they fit into a larger picture of contemporary discourse. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Polypeptide Conjugates as High-affinity Binders for Proteins

    Författare :Lotta Tollstoy Tegler; Lars Baltzer; Amelie Eriksson Karlström; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Protein recognition; polypeptide conjugates; peptide; molecular interactions; C-reactive protein; Acetylcholine esterase; Human Carboinc anhydrase; Chemistry; Kemi; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : A novel concept for protein recognition has been developed. The recognition unit is a hybrid molecule obtained by conjugation of a small organic molecule to a synthetic polypeptide selected from a 16-membered set of 42 amino acid residue sequences. The sequences are unordered and have no prior relation to the target proteins. LÄS MER

  5. 5. On Pathophysiology and Treatment of Aortic Disease

    Författare :Marek Kuzniar; Kevin Mani; Gustaf Tegler; Anders Wanhainen; Tomas Hansen; Kak-Khee Yeung; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Abdominal aortic aneurysm; aortic dissection; fenestrated branched stent grafts; PET; molecular imaging; inflammation; Kirurgi; Surgery;

    Sammanfattning : Pathophysiological processes underlying abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) formation and aortic dissections (AD) are largely unknown. Molecular imaging of the inflammatory component may improve our understanding of AAA and AD pathophysiology. LÄS MER
