  1. 1. Addressing the need of transition by socializing and making new friends : A socio-technical perspective on large-scale change in construction

    Författare :Olof Håkansson; Henrik Linderoth; Mattias Jacobsson; Annika Moscati; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Construction industry; digitalization; socio-technical system; transition; technological niches; strategic innovation program; actor-network theory;

    Sammanfattning : This research took its point of departure in the aspiration of large-scale change of the construction industry, where existing industry structures has been frequently criticized. To facilitate innovation and change in the Swedish construction industry, a strategic innovation program has been established based on the idea that research, innovation, and development should manifest itself through the mobilization of collaborative and actor-driven networks. 2. 2. Biogas in Swedish transport – a policy-driven systemic transition

    Författare :Tomas Lönnqvist; Stefan Grönkvist; Thomas Sandberg; Mats Eklund; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Transport biofuels; Biogas; Forest-derived methane; Policy; Actors; Multilevel perspective; Barriers and incentives; Biogas production potential; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik; Industriell ekonomi och organisation; Industrial Engineering and Management;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis analyzes the conditions for biogas in the Swedish transport sector. Biogas can contribute to the achievement of Sweden’s ambitious targets of decreased emissions of greenhouse gases and an increased share of renewables in the transport sector, a sector that encompasses the major challenges in the phase-out of fossil fuels. 5. 5. Role of angiogenesis in cancer invasion and metastasis

    Författare :Pegah Rouhi; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Cancer metastasis is a complex process that involves an elaborate interplay between malignant cells and various host cellular and molecular components. The metastatic cascade consists of several discrete but non-separable steps, including: 1) malignant transformation of cells; 2) intravasation and dissemination of tumor cells into the circulation or lymphatic system; 3) transport of malignant cells to distal organs and tissues; 4) adherence of tumor cells to distal sites; 5) formation of the initial metastatic niches, and 6) angiogenesis-dependent re-growth of metastatic foci to clinically detectable tumors.
