  1. 11. Optimization and Physical Bounds for Passive and Non-passive Systems

    Författare :Yevhen Ivanenko; Sven Nordebo; Börje Nilsson; Mats Gustafsson; Mariana Dalarsson; Aaron Welters; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Convex optimization; physical bounds; Herglotz functions; quasi-Herglotz functions; passive systems; non-passive systems; approximation; absorption in lossy media; Waves; Signals and Systems; Vågor; signaler och system;

    Sammanfattning : Physical bounds in electromagnetic field theory have been of interest for more than a decade. Considering electromagnetic structures from the system theory perspective, as systems satisfying linearity, time-invariance, causality and passivity, it is possible to characterize their transfer functions via Herglotz functions. 2. 12. Quality improvement within nonprofit social service providers

    Författare :Truls Neubeck; Mattias Elg; Thomas Schneider; Boel Andersson-Gäre; Bo Bergman; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : As a relatively new phenomenon in 2009, Swedish nonprofit social service providers proposed quality improvement as a way to reduce mistakes, use resources more effectively and meet the needs and expectations of clients in a better way. Although similar experiences have been studied in health care, the transfer of quality improvement to nonprofit social services gives a possibility for more knowledge on what enables, and constrains, systematic quality improvement in this specific context. 3. 13. Voltage and power stability of HVDC systems

    Författare :Denis Hau Aik Lee; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This research work had been motivated by the emergence of multiple HVDC links in close proximity within a power system area, such as those in Southem Scandinavia and Northem Europe. Such system tonfigurations, generally known as multi-infeed HVDC systems, are expected to exhibit voltage and power stability problems when one or more of the constit uent AUDC interconnections are weak.
