21. Glömda gudstecken : från fornkyrklig dopliturgi till allmogens bomärken
Sammanfattning : The pioneering academic research on Merchant Marks (also known as identity marks, personal marks, ownership marks, identification marks, Hausmarken, Hofmarken, Marques de Propriété, bomärken) was done by professor Homeyer (1870). Since 1870 there has been an ongoing debate among scholars whether Merchant Marks are simply formed by chance and coincidence, as stated by Rehnberg (1938, 1951), Scheffer (1957) and Nahlén (1992) or whether they are variations of Christian symbols, especially the cross, as stated by Sisson (1929) and Stevenson (1954). 22. Detection for multiple input multiple output channels : analysis of sphere decoding and semidefinite relaxation
Sammanfattning : The problem of detecting a vector of symbols, drawn from a finite alphabet and transmitted over a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel with Gaussian noise, is of central importance in digital communications and is encountered in several different applications. Examples include, but are not limited to; detection of symbols spatially multiplexed over a multiple-antenna channel and the multiuser detection problem in a code division multiple access (CDMA) system. 23. Märkesorientering - Utveckling av varumärken som strategiska resurser och skydd mot varumärkesdegeneration
Sammanfattning : The aim of this study was to examine how an organisation’s approach to brands can, in the building up of a brand competence, prevent trademark degeneration and develop and protect brands as strategic resources. A line of argument is put forward for adopting a new corporate approach (mind-set) to brands. LÄS MER
24. Analysis of Some Convolutional Coding Constructions
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on different convolutional coding constructions for digital communication systems, and on methods to analyze these constructions. The work presented in the thesis can be divided into three main areas; error probability bounds for convolutional codes, analysis of multilevel modulation, and investigation of low-density parity-check convolutional codes. 25. Conflict in Colours : A comparative study of republican and loyalist murals in Belfast
Sammanfattning : Republican and Loyalist Murals in Belfast Abstract Conflict in Colours is a book about the role of cultural violence in maintaining and transferring conflict situations by investigating republican and loyalist murals in Belfast during the Troubles and the Northern Irish peace process.
