Sammanfattning : Mesoporous materials have acquired great scientific interest in various applications; something that is largely due to that their properties, such as pore size, pore orientation, material composition and surface chemistry, can be controlled to a large extent. One idea, which has been investigated in this thesis, is to use mesoporous materials as supports for lipid bilayers and by doing so fabricate devices that mimic the cell wall and at the same time has sufficient mechanical robustness for practical use. Sammanfattning : The transport sector is one of the main contributors of greenhouse gas emissions in the world. Advanced biofuels from renewable oils can play a decisive role in reducing carbon emissions from the transport sector. Advanced biofuels from waste streams like tall oil, used cooking oil etc. LÄS MER

  3. 13. The effect of framework structure on N2O formation over Cu-based zeolites during NH3-SCR reactions

Författare :Ghodsieh Isapour Toutizad; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

Sammanfattning : Anthropogenic nitrous oxide (N2O), which is generally formed as a byproduct of industrial chemical processes and fossil fuel combustion, has attracted significant attention in recent years due to its destructive role in global warming and ozone layer depletion. Among different developed technologies applied for lean NOx reduction, the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx with ammonia (as a reducing agent) is presently the most used method. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Lean NOx reduction over silver-alumina from lab-scale to real conditions Effects of reducing agent and catalyst compositionFREDRIK GUNNARSSONApplied surface chemistryDepartment of Chemical and Biological EngineeringChalmers University of TechnologyAbstractThe focus of this work is to increase the understanding of lean NOx reduction over silver-alumina catalysts using hydrocarbons as the reducing agent (HC-SCR), in particular by investigating the effect of silver loading, the role of platinum doping, and the effect of the type of reducing agent. In addition, the effects of aging and hydrothermal treatment on the catalytic activity and selectivity, and the influence of real engine exhausts were investigated, with special attention to the low-temperature activity.
